NUCALA is a different kind of treatment for HES

At the time of approval for HES, NUCALA was the first treatment to be FDA-approved for the disease in 14 years.

NUCALA is a biologic, NOT a steroid. It's 3 injections you take every 4 weeks in addition to your current treatment plan to help reduce HES symptoms and prevent flares. You can get your NUCALA injections in your doctor's office or take them at home.

Check out NUCALA’s stats

During an 8-month clinical study of people with HES who were treated with 300 mg of NUCALA:

Proven protection from flares

72% of patients did NOT have any flares vs 44% not taking NUCALA*†

NUCALA reduced the number of future flares by 66%. On average, NUCALA patients had 0.50 HES flares per year compared to 1.46 HES flares per year for patients not taking NUCALA

*Based on limits of the analysis, results are descriptive and your experience may differ.

28% of people taking NUCALA had one or more flares or withdrew from the study, compared to 56% of people not taking NUCALA. Flares were defined as worsening of signs/symptoms of HES or increase in blood eosinophil levels (on at least 2 exams) that required an increase in steroids and/or other HES therapy.

What else should I know about NUCALA?

Eosinophils are a normal part of your immune system, but in higher numbers, they can lead to inflammation. NUCALA treats HES by helping to reduce eosinophils in the blood.

It is not fully understood how NUCALA works.
